What does home mean to you? Gather with us for a special night of storytelling where featured local speakers will share different perspectives on the importance of home, their personal experiences, and what home means to them.
What does it take to grow a home? Is it something that happens quickly? Is it something that grows slowly over a lifetime?
Growing home, for some, may involve planting a garden to have familiar plants. For others, it may be placing pictures on the wall of people dear to them. It can be intangible, like a prayer or a song that resonates throughout the walls. It can be sensory, like the smell of the first pot of soup on a new stove.
Growing home can be solitary, or in community. What is it like to try to build a sense of home, whether you’ve moved 2 blocks away or 2 time zones? What is home like when there is either every sign of home, or no sign of home at all?
In growing home, there can be everything from fear to hope, but there is always heart involved.
Your ticket purchase includes entrance to the event featuring five talented storytellers, dinner, craft beer and wine.
